The collection of information by Wholy Greens

When you make use of our digital store or (one of) our other services, we may collect your information in order to deliver our Products and services and to improve the customer experience on our website, in our digital store and to improve any services. We receive your information because you directly provide it to us or because our systems collect this from you. We only collect certain information if you are a Customer of our services (a Customer is the person or company that makes a purchase with Wholy Greens or uses any of our services). By reading this Privacy Statement and checking a box to consent to our data processing when you sign up or place your order, you consent to the collection of your data.

Here are the specifics or what we collect and why we do it:

Personal information and address

When you make a purchase in our digital store, we collect and use your personal details such as your name, your e-mail and physical address and the city and country you live in. We process these details to deliver our Products to you and to send confirmatory e-mails and updates about shipment and delivery. We may also use your e-mail address to notify you of changes to our terms and conditions and changes to this Privacy Statement. We may also collect and process this information to see where our customers are located and where we can improve on the (potential) customer experience.

Account information

When you make a purchase in our digital store, we collect and use your account details to verify payment and to fulfil tax obligations. In case you subscribe to a (future) subscription or service that requires multiple periodic payments, we shall collect and use those account details for those repeated payments.

Technical information and metadata

If you are a Customer, we collect information about your device, network and internet connection when you visit our website and our store. Information that may be processed include: browser type, IP address, operating system details (version number and hardware ID) and network metrics (routes and latency).

We use this technical information to correctly provide our website and to optimize your experience. We may also use this information to provide helpful technical support when you encounter issues with our store.

We process technical information on the basis of our legitimate interest to do so, namely our legitimate business interest to provide our services and improve our services for the benefit of our Customers and to provide technical support to our Customers.

Duration

We will retain your personal information no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which they are processed, unless we need to comply with legal obligations, in which case we might store your information for a longer period of time.

Sharing your information

We will only share your personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the provision of our Products and services and the improvement of these services. We will explicitly never sell your personal data to third parties.

Furthermore, we may share your personal data with third parties as an exception if we have a legal obligation to do so. Currently, no such obligations are applicable to our services and thus we do not share any information with third parties based on this exception.

Newsletter

We send news updates by email to inform our customers of developments. You will only receive newsletters if you have subscribed to them yourself, thereby giving your consent according to art.6 (1)a GDPR. Every newsletter features a link at the bottom that you can click in order to unsubscribe. You can also (un)subscribe to the footer of our website. We send our newsletters through MailChimp, a system in which only your name and email address are stored.

Your rights

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to our processing of your information. Under the GDPR, when we process your information, you have certain rights as a Data Subject, namely the right to:

  • Access your personal data and Data portability. This means that you have the right to receive your personal information in a structured, accepted and machine-readable format.

  • Restrict the processing of your personal data to certain situations;
  • Withdraw consent that previously given.
